On and Off-Stage Experiences: Stories of Accessibility on Broadway

As Broadway works toward embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, it has also needed to take a hard look at its Accessibility practices. In recent years the term DEI has been amended to include Accessibility (DEIA). While Accessibility falls under the DEI umbrella, it’s important to acknowledge it specifically, because those with physical and neurological disabilities may require accommodations beyond the basic inclusion practices that account for diversity of race, gender, and sexual identities.
